Ever New

Ever New Dress, Dior shoes, HRH Collection necklace, MBMJ bag, LOVECOCO bracelet

Earlier this summer, I came across a lovely Australian clothing store at a mall in Singapore. As luck would have it, the store was just about to close when I walked in. Fast forward 2 weeks, I was back to work in Vancouver on my regular route home through the mall. I noticed a new store called Ever New (also known as Forever New) at Pacific Centre. The curious me walked in and thought "wow, everything looks SO familiar". What do you know, it's the same Australian store that just opened its first location in Vancouver! I was finally able to take this Versace-esque baroque print dress home. I paired this busy print dress with my simple Miss Dior patent pumps and my new HRH Collection C'est Chic necklace. Alex is the queen of mixing metals and this piece is my personal fav ♥

Orange Crush

Chanel 2.55 in Beige Clair, BCBG top, BDG jeans, Zara sandals, LOVECOCO Necklaces

I love a bright orange top as much as an orange popsicle on a hot summer day.  This warm colour goes amazingly well with gold accessories so I took my beloved beige Chanel 2.55 out for a spin. The simple and flowy BCBG top allows my new LOVECOCO necklaces to standout and shine. Mixing pearls with textured/matte gold chain, I made these two necklaces with the working-girl in mind.   They're perfect for day-to-night transition. I wear the 3 layered "Zoe" for work and combine it with the "Ella" for a night out. Both are now available on Etsy: Shoplovecoco. The same designs in silver and gunmetal will also be available soon!

Pins and Needles blouse, f21 shorts, Express bracelets, Herm├Ęs belt

Now that summer is in full swing, the boy and I have been trying our best to make the most of it. That means less time on the laptop and more time on the patio! I've been living in these shorts from f21. At $19, you really can't go wrong. All 3 colours I own have been in heavy rotation! Although I'm not a pants and belt kinda person, I do love the look of belts on shorts. This classic Hermes belt was a birthday gift from two years ago and I can only really recall wearing it with shorts. Case in point: blog post from September 2010. I was out n' about in this ensemble running errands yesterday as the boy and I are re-decorating our apartment. Our new sofa is coming in next week and we need to finally put something up on the walls! This flowy watercolour top by Pins and Needles is giving me just the artwork inspiration. I can't wait to share my home with you in a future post!

Into the Blue

Chanel timeless clutch, Mango maxi dress, EXPRESS shrug and bracelets, Juicy sandals, hat from Edie Hats

Ever since our trip to the Greek islands, I've been really into the combo of blue and white. The light mix somehow makes me feel cooler under the sun. This Mango maxi dress was a recent purchase from Singapore during their Sale Month or as they call it "The Great Singapore Sale". Lucky me to have been visiting at the right time and found this dress marked down to 70% off! I wore this breezy maxi over the weekend with a fancy large brim hat from my favourite local hat shop on Granville Island called Edie Hats. I also got a chance to take my Chanel timeless clutch out for some fresh air. Boy, is it a pain to keep this baby clean! While I still think a black one would have been a better choice 3 years ago, I do love the look of a white clutch for the summer and the shape of it is truly timeless.

I hope everyone is having a great summer!

Dorothy Perkins blouse, EXPRESS skirt, F21 Necklace, LOVECOCO, Brian Atwood shoes

US retail invasion? I think so! First it was Anthropologie, then J.Crew, and now EXPRESS. Oh, and Nordstrom is coming soon! I don't mind it as that means more options for us Canadian shoppers. I went to check out the first EXPRESS location in Vancouver last week. Having only shopped there for smart tops and dress pants for work, I was ecstatic when I saw this sequined miniskirt in a Missoni-esque pattern! Missoni is famous for their signature zigzag pattern but I couldn't quite justify splurging on a mini skirt.  I'm glad I found a similar look for a fraction of the price. I paired it here with a simple yellow sleeveless Dorothy Perkins top and my beloved lilac Brian Atwood pumps, but I love how this multi-coloured skirt can go well with a range of shades. I can see myself wearing this skirt all summer long!
