Colour Blocking Fun

Lace top from London, Zara skirt, Ferragamo flats, MBMJ bag

A few years ago I would not have been able to wear this ensemble without feeling like a clown.  I love that color-blocking isn't just for the brave souls anymore.  We can all forget about those wardrobe rules, be creative, and just have fun with it! I went with 3 of my favourites from the colour wheel and was pleasantly surprised by how well these bright solids complimented each other.  Wearing this outfit, I spent some quality time in the sun with my furry friend last weekend, pretending it was the summer.  Let's hope there are more sunny days in the forecast for Vancouver soon so I can put away that winter coat and experiment mixing even bolder colours. I hope everyone is having a great start to spring!

So classy & elegant even in such bright colours, Carolina! Beautiful colour blocking. So happy to see you more active on the blog again, too. Hope we get to meet in person soon - will you be at Olivia's H&M event tomorrow or at The Bay next Thursday??

Been reading your blog for a while (discovered through ALterations Needed) and love your style. Your turquoise Ferragamo flats here are striking. Can you believe I saw them at Marshalls once for $200 and passed? I couldn't stop thinking about them, but by the time I called back they were gone. Sigh!

I agree! A couple of years ago, I never would have even attempted to put together such a colorful outfit. Now, I can't seem to get enough color in my life! You look beautiful as always.

You look great in a colour-blocked ensemble Carolina! Still love that MBMJ bag and Pinky looks so adorable here.

P.S. We should do dinner again.

I'm crazy about your cardigan, that blue is just perfect with the yellow skirt and fuchsia bag. You look fabulous!
