As much as I hate to let go of the summer, fall fashion is in full swing. I had the pleasure of attending Holt Renfrew's Fall 2010 fashion preview presented by Barbara Atkin, VP of Fashion Direction, over the summer. No one knows what's in fashion better than Barbara and she covered all of the key trends for this fall. The return of classics set the overall tone for this season. As you all know, I'm a fan of lady-like dressing, so I'm most excited for the camel coats, crimson shift dresses, and the 50's feminine silhouettes. However, with military, leather, and knit all in the mix, it seems like this season has a little something for everyone.

Style Notes:
Knit wear: Think Chunky and oversized.
Camel is the color of the season and can be easily incorporated into any wardrobe. Try pairing Camel with heather grey for an updated look.
Animal Print in all forms. Leopard accents in a belt, a clutch, or pumps.
Leather: Give that biker jacket a break and opt for leather separates: skirts, shorts, and tops.
Structured Satchel bags are back with a vengeance. Look for one with a convertable strap (Tory Burch Holland Satchel seen above).
Army Green is a perfect way to add a touch of Military. Sport in your choice of footwear or jacket.

Holt Renfrew teams up with Marc by Marc Jacobs for a great cause this fall. MBMJ tote for $48 is not only a fab find, but a portion of the proceeds goes to VisionSpring. Although the online reservation is now closed, you can still purchase the tote at Holt Renfrew from September 30, 2010 for $48. First come, first serve!

I love this list! And hurrah for the return of ladylike dressing--finally! The distressed/studded/black leather everything vibe in fashion was starting to get kind of stale. *sigh* The camel cape you featured here reminds me a lot of one I saw at Uniqlo when I was in NY (only large ones left by the time I got there though). And you marked the Tory Burch bag as a must-buy, yay!! You'll have to show it to me when you get it. :D

I love everything you've selected. I've never been the leather kinda lady, but I've been eyeing a leather pleated miniskirt for about a month and I'm thinking this is pushing me over the edge.

Really nice choices, my favorite has got to be the leather skirt by Alice + Olivia. The notes that you made have been confirming some of the fall buzz floating around in the blogsphere. I am excited for animal print, I usually never wear it!

Great post! Really good picks. Wow, that Topshop cape is my favourite... and it's in a CAMEL colour! Even better.

Fall is hands down my favourite season. Boots? Knits? Military? Check. I'm just lacking on the camel coloured coats though.

I lament the loss of summer as well, but I can't help but to be enthralled with piles of leopard print, my navy military inspired jacket, and piles of furry accents.
