Like most girls, I both love and hate the humidity. Despite walking around the city feeling like a steamed bun, the moisture acted like a miracle product giving volume and texture to my usually straight, heavy, and lifeless hair! It was also nice having the bestie do a French braid for me the night before our adventure into historic China. She flew over from Korea for the weekend and we managed to squeezed in all the major sites in 4 short days -- the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven to name a few. Together with J, we were the 3 musketeers roaming the through the city eating Peking duck, bargaining at Silk Street Market, and (sadly) getting scammed by pedicab drivers. It was amazing sharing a piece of Beijing with them.
Keeping wardrobe choices light, short, and breathable was key to surviving the heat on this trip. The yellow silk top was from a few seasons ago but I still love the pick-me-up color and the origami details. The cotton floral skirt has bits of yellow to compliment the vibrant colored top and I opted for simple sandals and belt in neutrals to avoid looking like I'm heading to the circus. One thing I missed? Sunblock on my feet. I have to live with a hideous sandal tan for the next little while!

Busy day! Love your outfit, the yellow and print work so well together, and your ring is so gorgeous!!
Glad to hear someone enjoys humidity -- it is my already frizzy hairs enemy.
Chic on the Cheap
You look gorgeous!
And so does your hair! There's very few people humidity does wonders for when it comes to hair. :P

Awesome photos! Love the outfit as well! XO
What a grand adventure the three of you shared!! I bet every single moment was amazing, especially because you got to meet up with your bestie!! Me and my bestie live thousands of miles away from eachother too, but everytime we see eachother we always pick up where we left off.
Your outfit is adorable Carolina! Perfect summer outfit to kick humidity in it's bootay. Today was probably one of the most humid days this year alone. Ick!
I hope you're well hun and I hope your package gets to you safely. :)
xx Love & Aloha
I hate sandal tans! And the sad thing is, my feet are more tanned than the rest of my body :( This is what I get for not going to the beach haha. Any way, if you hadn't mentioned humidity and being in China, I never would have guessed it because you look so fabulous, chic and breezy! (yes, I said breezy and I meant it! lol) I love the colour of that CM top and how your skirt complements the colour as well. That MK bag is super cute! I know you've been back for awhile but welcome back! Hope to see you again soon xo

I love the bright top with the floral skirt! Beijing looks amazing. I have similar mixed feelings about humidity...my hair won't curl without it but it's so ick sometimes.

Wow I really like that skirt, but could never actually wear it myself (as I can't wear anything printed or with patterns). Beautiful pictures, I'm chinese but have never had the opportunity to go back and visit China yet.The closest thing I have to being in China is the cultural centre we have here in Calgary that was modeled after the Temple of Heaven.
I love the brightness of that top. Such a gorgeous color.
cute skirt!! :D
the colors are so pretty and love how cute/flirty this look is. really dig the MK bag too!

Great outfit. Definitely works with the landscape.
In the major fashion capitals, fashion weeks are semiannual events. January through April designers showcase their autumn and winter collectionsand September through November the spring/summer collections are shown. Fashion weeks must be held several months in advance of the season to allow the press and buyers a chance to preview fashion designs for the following season. This is also to allow time for retailers to arrange to purchase or incorporate the designers into their retail marketing
Cute purse!
